i have a new illustration website!
yes, it's true. it's long overdue, but www.hollycamp.com is completely redone. many thanks to my friend jason [www.getyourlefton.com] for stepping up to help someone who hates dreamweaver, flash, ect.
Holly, I love it! It's really easy to navigate, the pictures don't take too long to load, and it's nicely designed & all about the artwork. Your portfolio looks really great, too. Is one of your sketches of Sara? (Girl with polka dotted head band)
Thanks Cat! Good guess, that is Sarah. :] One thing that sucks about not being at the academy: now people think it's weird to look over and see someone drawing them. oh well!
Holly! It looks really great, and everything worked quickly and easily on even my outdated computer! I loved some of the print type work and drawings in your sketchbook, I don't think I had seen all of those at the academy. I liked the drawing of me too :)
Talk to your family about what you do and expect them to cheer you on.
Base the success of your entire career on one project.
Stick with what you know.
Undervalue your expertise
Let money dictate what you do.
Bow to Societal Pressures.
Only do work that your family would love.
Do whatever the client/customer/gallery owner/patron/investor asks.
Set unachievable/overwhelming goals. To be accomplished by tomorrow.
thank you, Starbuck!
ASSIGNMENTS
[12] - Wanna-be Academiers- June-July
Try to do the Illustration Academy assignments, or at least the idea-making and thumbnail part of it. Experiment, try something new, push yourself. Also use this time to catch up on old projects if you want!
