HOW TO FEEL MISERABLE AS AN ARTIST
- Constantly compare yourself to other artists.
- Talk to your family about what you do and expect them to cheer you on.
- Base the success of your entire career on one project.
- Stick with what you know.
- Undervalue your expertise
- Let money dictate what you do.
- Bow to Societal Pressures.
- Only do work that your family would love.
- Do whatever the client/customer/gallery owner/patron/investor asks.
- Set unachievable/overwhelming goals. To be accomplished by tomorrow.

This is beautiful!!!! You've really set a mood in this piece, with the color and the perspective...even the texture adds to the mood. Did you do this for a class?? This is one of my favorites of yours. Beautiful, beautiful!!
Heather, the colors and values in this are fantastic! This has a really nice value study underneath, I can tell. The texture thing is cool too - I want to try that.
Nice one Highpockets. I like the colors and the breakup of space. Its got a real nice puzzle-for-a-dumb-guy going on with the sky and the buildings. One thing for the texture though, it would be nice to have some areas without it to add some contrast between textures.
