HOW TO FEEL MISERABLE AS AN ARTIST
- Constantly compare yourself to other artists.
- Talk to your family about what you do and expect them to cheer you on.
- Base the success of your entire career on one project.
- Stick with what you know.
- Undervalue your expertise
- Let money dictate what you do.
- Bow to Societal Pressures.
- Only do work that your family would love.
- Do whatever the client/customer/gallery owner/patron/investor asks.
- Set unachievable/overwhelming goals. To be accomplished by tomorrow.

Yeah! Time to join the Dwight Army of Champions!
That's definitely Dwight. Congratulations! I'll let the others critique... but good job! I need sleep... and Gary Kelley will critique our stuff in about an hour.
Yay Cat! You heard all of my comments on this piece. Again, I love all the color in the skin! So, what's next??
wow, on my computer at work it looks super dark. I might need to calibrate here (my computer at home is a fairly new iMac with a sick 20" flat screen... I would hate to think it's too light!)
I really struggled with the execution of this piece so constructive criticism is welcome. I talked to Sarah yesterday about my stuff and I feel as though I may be in need of some non-portrait type things. So we'll see where that takes me!
Tyler, good luck with critique!!!!
i am a goober and have never seen the show so i cannot comment on the likeness, however, i know a good drawing when i see one. stellar job dood. so much color and all handled so well. great job. keep it up.
chris is alive too!!!! Hooray! And thanks for the kind words!
Great job, it really looks like him. I like the blinds in the background its really simple and effective. I would watch the tangent on the right where his head is just touching the edge of the picture plane. Or maybe you did that on purpose because Dwight is an awkward uncomfortable character? Keep rockin'!
